Who is it for?
The National Skills Academy for Retail aims to provide training for everyone from shop assistants to senior management from retailers of all sizes.
It will also train people who are not yet in retail but who want to work in the sector, providing a pool of skilled, quality recruits who are ready for the retail sector.
Each retail skills shop will be tailored to meet specific local requirements as well as the needs of individuals. Core retail skills shops services include:
- pre-employment training.
- skills and qualification programmes.
- careers and pre-employment services.
- training courses, business support and training for small retailers.
- store management programmes.
